高2一貫 ハワイ研修旅行 Day2

Aloha!
Today we went to Akaka Falls in the morning.
The tropical rainforest shrouded in mist from the rain was truly magical.
After the heavy rain, the mist cleared, Akaka Falls showed up.
It is very majestic.
The students enjoyed it.
It was a valuable opportunity to experience nature different from Japan.
For lunch, we ate pizza in the park. we happened to encounter students from a nearby high school.
One of our students looked at the leftover pizza and said, “Maybe if we share this pizza, we can become friends.”
While he might be a well-known student to some, his stance of aiming for world peace through pizza was typical of him and made for a heartwarming moment.
In fact, they shared pizza, played tag, and enjoyed the spontaneous international exchange that began.
On the other hand, some students actively approached the local guide.
The JTB tour conductor said it was great to see students engaging so positively with people.
In the afternoon, we visited Kilauea Volcano, where I was most looking forward to.
The wind and rain were quite strong, and the students looked tired, but I was satisfied seeing the Koa trees, the Ohia Flare, and the crater floor.
The students were very tired, but the moment we stopped at a local supermarket on the way back, they were fine again.
Kids bounce back so quickly—it’s wonderful!
Still, I wish they’d build up their stamina a bit more.
That’s all for today’s report.
A hui hou!
